  Please think twice before purchasing anything from LA Gold or having your jewelry repaired there - unless you want to risk them misplacing it and treating you terribly afterwards.

  After dropping my watches off for battery replacement and agreeing to pay the ridiculous $13 per battery even on the watch that I had purchased there, I waited a full week before picking them up. When I arrived, the batteries had still not yet been replaced. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes. After getting my watches back and paying the $26, I noticed that one of the watches was scratched all over the back plate and the back of the watch itself. Even the band was dented! When I noticed it and took it back the employee said that Bering watches were very hard to open. When I asked if she could repair it she said that this happened to all Bering watches. She did not offer to refund me for the batteries. Appalling customer service! Will take my business elsewhere from now on!

  After LA Gold lost my engagement ring that had been in for repairs (and I was picking it up on my first wedding anniversary by the way), treating me as if losing my most prized possession wasn’t a big concern, accusing me of overreacting, pretending that my communication with them hadn’t happened, the manager berating me over the phone and accusing me of “just trying to get free jewelry repairs”, and refusing to apologize for putting me through the whole ordeal in the first place...I can confidently say that I will never step foot in this store again.

  Thankfully they ended up finding my ring 3 days later and I was able to pick it up and pay for the repair, but the damage had been done. I spent my anniversary weekend anxious and upset and I have never experienced such horrendous customer “service” in my life.

  Whether a customer is spending $1000 or $100 they should all be treated with the same respect.
